The investigation was initiated on August 8, 2024 at the request of Taiwan Cement Manufacturers Association and covered the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
The association and its members urged the government to review the tax, which they say has placed additional burden on the already struggling industry.
Viet Nam generated US$438 million from exporting 13.6 million tonnes of cement and clinker over the past nine months of this year, fulfilling 90 per cent of the yearly target.
